Wi-Fi Sigint?

Postby kmussack » 29 Sep 2017 12:00

So I'm sitting in a little roadside diner fixin' to order some breakfast this morning and I said to myself,

"Self, let's check to see if this little diner has free Wi-Fi so I can surf while I wait."

I pulled out my trusty iPhone and punched the Settings button and then hit Wi-Fi.

I then said to myself, "Well, what do we have here?"

Nope, the diner didn't have Wi-Fi.

That is kind of an old trick/technique that people used to (still do apparently) do to keep others from messing (hacking) their wifi.

The 'real' FBI does not label their wifi networks like that, for obvious reasons.

Take care,
